By wearing the reading glasses and closing one eye you can focus at the central dot, at a distance of 35 to 40 cm, to see if some part is not noticed or if some of the vertical or horizontal lines have a wavy and not straight configuration which is characteristic of macular diseases, the so-called metamorphopsia.
